Evidently daughter takes after me in the quirky, zany. weird injuries & health problems.
Yesterday she woke up with a rash from her belly to her neck. She first thought that maybe it was a heat rash, but it never got any better as the day progressed & in fact, continued to get worse.
This morning, she said it was now from her ankles & up into her scalp.
No, she hasn't used any new products such as detergents, lotions, soaps, etc. No, she didn't eat anything different.
We got her in to the doctor this afternoon. The doctor was surprised that she hadn't been running a temperature as she said she probably just had some viral infection, which caused the rash? She tested her for strep, which was negative. She told her that she would probably have it another couple of days and then start peeling. She gave her a prescription for a pill to take 3 times a day for the itching & told her to take Benadryl and use a hydracortizone cream on it.
I think she is allergic to her new apartment!
Who knows...I guess this zanyness just runs in our family!

Her beign allergic to her new apt makes sense. My son moed into a new building in Portland, Oregon and started having severe head aches and asthma attacks. He doesn't have asthma. His Dr told him to move and he did and the dr made sure he got out of the lease. When he moved the head aches went away and so did the asthma.
Sounds like shingles. That's an awesome llama pic.
Yeesh!!!
I hope it has nothing to do with mold.
In any case i hope she gets to feeling better soon .
You know you might be on to something! When my daughter was in college in Austin she and her 2 roommates were allergic to the glue they used underneath the carpet. Such a shame...it was brand new carpet (brand new apartments.) They did have to change it out and all was well. We always identify it as 'the apartment you were allergic to'!! lol Hope her condition clears up soon.

Shingles was actually what I was afraid it was, but the doctor doesn't seem to think so. So I hope that the doc is right! thanks on that picture...I took it last year and it just make me laugh every time I see it!

Thank you Lee. She says it is starting to show some improvement finally! The redness isn't as bad & it is not itching as bad as it was, so I am praying that it is going away. We will probably never know what caused it though.
