  • Me bad...

Yeah, I missed a day in posting! I actually was on here & going to post, but my connection was super slow, so I decided to visit your pages instead .
My hubby was quick to point out that I blew my resolution! lol. Oh well, such is life...that is why I usually don't even make them!
But you have to admit, I have done really well & I will continue to try to keep it up.

Yesterday, we finally went out & bought us a new mattress. When daughter moved out, we gave her the Queen set that was in the guest room. We have a king pillow top that is still in decent shape, but we have been wanting to upgrade for a while now, so we will put our old one in the guest room and the new one we got in our room. It is nice too. We got a Serta Perfect Day. It sure was comfy in the store! They will deliver it next week.
Hubby also got his gun safe. Or bought one...that also will be delivered next week.

It was another snowy, dreary day here today. We probably got another 3 or 4" of new snow. I really wanted to get out the snowshoes & do another walk, but I never did. I spent my day doing laundry, chores & errands instead. Oh well, maybe tomorrow!
I will post a few pictures that I took Saturday when I went out on my walk. Nothing spectacular, but you can get a glimpse of our property....

The next few pictures were actually on my camera from December 30! I just haven't taken or uploaded any other pictures since then.

The goldfinches really like my new feeder that hubby gave me for Christmas.

    a grouse

    a couple of doves

I have chicken & veggies in the crockpot, so need to go & see what else I need to make with it for our dinner.

I am also excited to have a new House on tonight and also I want to check out that new lawyer show with Kathy Bates.
    Y'all have a good evening.

  • I opened your site and the photo header cracked me up! What a cute shot!

I wish I had a beautiful place to walk and admire nature every day like you do on your property. : )  You are a lucky girl! Enjoy that new mattress!

I know...I love that picture, it makes me smile & laugh every time I see it! I AM a lucky girl...I realize that & count my blessings every day. (((hugs))) to you my friend.

  • I Love the picy that has the trail leading up to the house ;o)

Man i need a new Mattress bad!!!
Mine is older than Christopher lol

    Hope yours is comfy.
So do you guys ever do cross country skiing?

  • Hi, I had to go turn the heat up after looking at your pictures! :) I'm back to posting, I haven't done a good job of it! Will try again. I never did hear why your daughter moved out? Did she move close by, I hope? Raining today and cool damp yuck! Hey but I'll take it over what you have! LOL! Have a good hump day!!!!

  • @Luvthewaves -

nope, never had tried the cross country ski...think I would like it though. I hate downhill skiing though! lol..

  • @boydcreek -

Welcome back Joe! Oh yes, Lori is close by thank goodness! She has been wanting her own place...she IS 21! lol..I don't blame her for wanting her own place..even though she had it made here. It is a sign of independence & something that she needed to do. I am glad it happened this way though with her moving close instead of how it was originally going to be back when I lived in OK & she wanted to move to New York City!

  • Ah resolutions, aren't they made to be broken? LOL   Your property is beautiful. No snow today here, just mud. It's been raining most of the day.

  • Doreen, Lori's apartment is adorable!  And that couch!  Reminds me of one that may have been in somebody's apartment way back when!  Your photos of the outdoors on your property are awesome, as usual.  Love the one looking back at your house.  You may have told me this, but how many acres do you have?  It's so beautiful there. By the way, you do such a great job with your blog, I love reading it.  Need to check it out more often.

    Take care!

  • I love that photo of the camels on your page. I'll have to share a similar one with you sometime.

  • @julieaw -

thank you Julie and YES, that couch looks like one that I use to have...also my parents had one kind of similar..very 70's! We only have 3 acres but at least there is other property around us. Mike would love to have a lot more, which means that one day we will unfortunately be selling this place & moving further out with more land...oh well...life is an adventure! lol..
