  • Biopsy Results

I heard from the doctor who did the biopsy. The growth was benign...thank you God!  However, he is referring me to the breast center to see a surgeon there as he wants me to get his opinion on having this area re-excised.
He said that I have a peripheral papilloma. It is small, only 3mm or 1/8", but he feels it should be re-excised & then a hookwire put in next to the marker tab that was put in during the biopsy.

I did some research online regarding the papilloma and everything that I see shows you are in the minimal risk group, so I will want to ask a lot of questions to see if I really want this surgery done.

If any of you have any input, I welcome it.

It is a nasty day here today, as it is in most places right now. So many more are going to get hit hard again with the snow & ice.
It is currently 17 degrees here with a wind chill of 4 degrees & has been snowing all day so far.
I think we are going to miss the brunt of the storm though...I hope!

Hubby worked the entire weekend. Has a big job bid he has to get out by tomorrow evening.
It was weighing heavy on his mind that he didn't get much sleep last night & ended up getting up and going into the office at 3:00! geeze... I will be glad when he gets it finished.

You know that brand new top of the line mattress & box springs that we just got?  I HATE it! It is so comfy when you lay on it, but I can't sleep worth a crap on it & I wake up super sore in the morning...I think it is too firm.  We can exchange it after keeping it for a minimum of 21 days but no longer than 30.  What a huge pain in the butt though...I really hope that I start to like it better.  Does anyone out there own a Serta Perfect Day Eclipse? If so...how is it for you?  It is suppose to be their top of the line mattress & swears that you get the best sleep ever. hmmm...is it just me?  Hubby hated it the first night...but swears it is getting better for him...but then again, he is either so wiped out that he can sleep on anything anywhere or he doesn't sleep at all like last night...so who is he to say! lol...

OK my friends....be safe out there & stay warm.

  • I'm so glad it's benign! yay! I don't know anything about papillomas so yes, you should ask lots of questions! Write them down as you think of them so you don't forget anything when you do talk to the doctor.

It's about that cold here right now. We're supposed to get hit with that big storm tomorrow. yuck. Hope it isn't as bad as they predict.

    Stay safe and warm! Hugs!

  • Good news & Bad news! Thrilled about your report, and sad that your not sleeping!!!! I'm like your hubby if I have something weighing on my mind I get up!! Snow, snow, snow and I bet you want sat a new record! The record is as deep as Grand Cannon, now that's a lot of snow!!!

  • I haven't kept up with your Xanga blog, and I'm sorry I haven't, because this is the first I've heard about your biopsy!  Thank God it is benign, that is the best news ever.  I will have to ask you to say a prayer for me...I may have a tumor in my cervical canal.  Won't know for sure until I get in to see the gynocologist my gp referred me to.  I'll msg you with the details, but I spent a worried weekend waiting for a phone call back about it.  Take care and stay warm...we're supposed to get some nasty weather beginning over night tonight, but not as cold as where you are!

Julie, I am so sorry to hear about your health worry now. I will keep you in my prayers..yes, let me know the details. Just remember, that worrying only depletes your current day of energy...try not to dwell upon that in which is out of our control...let go...let God... I hope your weather isn't too awful bad. (((hugs))) my friend.

  • So glad to hear that your biopsy was good news.

My daughter has a sleep number bed. My son and his wife also have one and they are all pleased with them.  It is so hard to find the right comfort level unless you actually sleep on the mattress.

  • Good news on the biopsy. I thought about you a few times over the weekend.

  • Doreen,

Glad that your news on the biopsy was good. Research, research, research girl !! Hey, sorry that you are not sleeping well. I hurt my back  in 2003 and could not even sleep in the bed until last year when I thought I would try something to get back in the bed. Mattresses are so expensive, so I went to Overstock .com and bought a Serta rejuvanator mattress topper.Girl, it has saved my life. I sleep so good now and in the bed again. We ended up buying one for each bed in the house and Mom and Dad also got one. They love theirs as well. You might try that. It was only $109.00 and you just put it on top of your mattress. Believe me,my mattress is old and worn out but you can not tell it now.  You will love it !!

    Take care,

    Rhonda

I had never heard of a sleep number bed until after this post & you are now the 3rd person ...too late for us unfortunately! We did lay on all of the beds to give the salesman an idea of the type of firmness that we needed, but you are right...laying on it & SLEEPING on it are two different things!

  • @LGailGarrett -

    awww...thank you so much :)

Hi Rhonda! nice to see you over here! Yes, I will do my research, that is for sure. Wow, so glad that you were able to find something to help you...that is a LONG time to not be able to sleep in your bed! Thanks for the tip.

  • Surprise.... surprise... I'm here! :) I thought you might post something today and SOOOOO glad I came over here and checked!!!! YAY YAY YAY, good news is always awesome to hear!

  • I'm glad to hear how your biopsy turned out. I really don't know much about the rest of it though. Do lots of research and ask lots of questions. I would wonder why they feel it's necessary. Hope the mattress gets better for you. That's frustrating and gives you a very small window to return it. peace & smiles

  • hi dear, so glad to hear the biopsy is benign! great news!!! yea research lots and i'm sure you will. good luck. i know it is sucks to have a bad mattress. at our old place in beijing, i think that evil landlady got the CHEAPEST, HARDEST mattress in the world and put it in that apartment. i never slept well in that place. it was seriously like sleeping on a hard rock. ugh. so good luck. hope it gets better for you and you can sleep on it eventually. sigh. that does suck, though. BIG HUGS!!! XXX

  • Glad that you got good news!
