I hope you all had a good weekend. We went & bought our TV. Got a Samsung 55″ LED LCD. OMG..the picture is gorgeous! We then spent all day Saturday trying to find a TV stand that we liked & that would work. We needed a short one as there is a 1/2 wall in the entry & we didn’t want the TV sticking up over that. Finally bought one on Sunday & hubby got it all set up & it looks great! We put in one of his Planet Earth dvd’s to watch. It looked beautiful on this new screen. The colors are so vivid & the picture is super crisp. LOVE it!
Besides shopping it seems like the only other thing we did was eat! We went out to eat Friday night. Went to a Cajun restaurant. mmm…I had Jambalaya…mmmmm
Then Saturday we ate the best burgers in town at Milwaukee Burger Company. Then yesterday, hubby wanted to go out & eat breakfast. He is a bad influence! We went to a diner here by our house & I pigged out! Had a garden omelet…which came with hashbrowns and 2 pancakes! I ate half & was absolutely stuffed. It was a huge serving of everything. It is 20 degrees outside right now, but the sun is shining, so it feels wonderful!
This picture was taken last Tuesday, from my mud room window.
I liked the sky & clouds with the flag flying in front.I have seen a hawk in & out of here the last couple of weeks. I finally was able to get some pictures this time. He was in the tree right outside my computer room window.
Does anyone have any idea what kind of hawk it is? Hubby looked it up in our books & thinks it may be either a Cooper’s Hawk or a Sharp-shinned Hawk, but isn’t for sure.I am absolutely loving this book that I am reading. (The Pioneer Woman: Black Heels to Tractor Wheels). I love her way of writing, she just cracks me up & she reminds me so much of myself it is funny!
I have several new recipes that I need to share with y’all, but will do that maybe on the next post.
I have the first of my oral surgeries tomorrow morning. Ugh! Not looking forward to it, but it really needs to be done.
That’s about it from the zany household up north. Y’all have a good rest of your day. By the way…WHERE did February go? Can’t believe today is the last day!

Hi Doreen, this does sound like a week end i would have enjoyed, shopping and eating , does it get any better?
love the photos of the hawk whatever kind it is, we are getting up to around plus 5 c here in the day not too warm but at least its dry for the moment.
have a good week.
That’s some nice shots of the Hawk. It looks really mellow lookin’ maybe a Sparrow Hawk?
Also love the shots of the hawk. Beautiful! Samsung tv’s are the best. We recently got a new one also, but just the 42″ size. Love the color and clarity. I’ve heard good things about the book you’re reading. Not normally my type of read, but I may have to pick it up. I only have about 25 books ahead of it though! Enjoy the rest of your week, and good luck on your oral surgery!
The recipes sure sound wonderful. You are a great cook . I am most proud of you !
The pictures are awesome. I am waiting for Mr Bear soon. You be most careful .
He will be hungry when he comes out of his sleep.
I am thankful your surgery was successful. It has to be most painful. Hate you have to face the other side next .ugh. But I am thankful you take good care of yourself.
I still think you should have become a chef. It is your passion, cooking.
Love you sweet daughter. your Mama Mia
