  • Spring Easter Bunny has arrived

Yep, he was here ...in our yard...that is not a big chocolate egg next to him though, it is a mineral block
He was really chowing down on it!

I took this last night before it started snowing. YES, it snowed again! Snowed all night & this morning & then warmed up enough to change over to rain & actually melt what was on the ground.

I took this when it had changed over to rain & started washing away the snow.
What a lovely spring day, huh!

     Back to the bunny rabbit...

The squirrels were very mean to him. They evidently think this is their yard and don't want to share it with him.
They kept chasing him away. Here is one of the rodents caught in the act.

Speaking of chasing...we also had these 2 male grouse in the yard last night. Yes, it is an entertaining place to live!
When they "drum" the beat their wings together & it actually sounds like what a motorcycle sounds like when it is starting up.
They do this to get the attention of the females.  The males want to be the only male around, so watch what happens when 2 are in the same vicinity.

I know...not a good video, but they are just so danged fast. It is hysterical to watch them in person!
Did you see that one on the right fan his tail feathers up?

You think that first one was fast...watch this one where one runs the other entirely out of the yard...

Now just a couple of one of our many woodpeckers.

You can see the fine snow as it was falling.

My surgery yesterday went much better than the first round. They did not find any bone loss on this side. I didn't have any "bleeders" like I did the last time & instead of being there 3hours like I was the first time, this one only took not even a full 2 hours. So...thank goodness that is behind me. I get the stitches out next Tuesday. The pain has not been too bad and since I broke down on the last one & got the Vicodin filled, I have there here & won't hesitate to use them. In fact, I did take one before bed last night & slept like a baby :)

I have to share this email that I got from my mom today....

    THESE REALLY WORK!!

I checked this out on Snopes and it's for real!

    AMAZINGLY SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES:

    1. AVOID CUTTING YOURSELF WHEN SLICING VEGETABLES BY GETTING SOMEONE ELSE TO HOLD THE VEGETABLES WHILE YOU CHOP.

    2. AVOID ARGUMENTS WITH THE FEMALES ABOUT LIFTING THE TOILET SEAT BY USING THE SINK.

    3. FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE SUFFERERS ~ SIMPLY CUT YOURSELF AND BLEED FOR A FEW MINUTES, THUS REDUCING THE PRESSURE ON YOUR VEINS. REMEMBER TO USE A TIMER.

    4. A MOUSE TRAP PLACED ON TOP OF YOUR ALARM CLOCK WILL PREVENT YOU FROM ROLLING OVER AND GOING BACK TO SLEEP AFTER YOU HIT THE SNOOZE BUTTON.

    5. IF YOU HAVE A BAD COUGH, TAKE A LARGE DOSE OF LAXATIVES. THEN YOU'LL BE AFRAID TO COUGH.

    6. YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

    7. IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

    DAILY THOUGHT:
SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES - NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS.

    OMG...I just loved these!

That's all that I have for today.

    Happy Hump Day
