Summertime!
Can you say BUSY! Geeze….I have had too many things going on ….fun times AND work
Here is quick catch up with pictures (of course!) I am a visual type gal!
First fishing trip of the season landed us quite the catch of bass!
These were just the first couple that we caught. I forget the exact amount that we brought home, but it was a nice amount!
cute little family of ducks taking a swimFirst big job of the season was new mulch in all of the beds.
It took 2 pickup trucks full of it & we still didn’t get all done!
Here is the finished product (s)
Festival!
I always love the Open Air Festival of the Arts. This year, it was a cloudy almost ready to rain type of day.
We hit it early and enjoyed seeing all of the art.
I really liked this guy. Hubby went & bought me his CD
Our 2nd fishing trip out wasn’t as lucky as the first. But the weather had things kind of screwed up.
I caught the only keeper, which we actually set free at the end of the day. With daughter being out of school, she has a lot more free time to visit me & for us to go & play
This particular day we hit an antique shop, our favorite park with the animals and had lunch.
Girls time is always fun
There were lots of tired animals at the park!
awww…snuggling!
Facebook shots! me & my beautiful daughter
on another girls day outing, we both upgraded our phones & caught up with the rest of the world by getting a smart phone!!!
How did I survive without one! lol…I LOVE it! I got an HTC Inspire (Android). Hubby loved it so much, he went the next day & upgraded his work phone! lol..
Of course, I had to play with the camera on it….
here’s a few shots from my new phone…
at lunch after getting our new phone…had to get a shot for daughter’s incoming call picture!
UGH!!! You all know how much I HATE frogs! This guy popped out of this hole at me when I was working out in the backyard. He scared the bejeebers out of me & totally creeped me out!
Tomato plant (I need to update these plant pictures…they have grown so much just since these were shot!)
taking a walk around the yard…spotted this butterfly on the plants.
ewwwwww….a tree frog!!!! UGH!!!!
cute little bunny fufu
a pansy in my wildflower garden (which you will see more of later)On Father’s Day we all went to St. Paul, MN to the Como Zoo. You can see some pictures that I posted on my Facebook page here:

http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1962430312346.112420.1590486701&l=f7a8525f3cI will stop here as I have already overloaded you on the pictures. Still to come…digging up the monster plants from hell & putting in a wildflower garden. Work in progress is the power washing & painting (colored stain) of the deck.
.
I have also been putting together a trip that we are taking to Milwaukee to finally see a Brewers game. We will see them play the Cubs, which is a huge rival here. Daughter is going with us & we will also do the zoo & the museum the following day. Then we have to get home as she has a wedding to go to & we have things we need to do.I ended up at the Dr. office on Monday. I really thought that I had strep throat, but it was just a bad infection. I took my last dose of antibiotics today & it is just about gone. Don’t have time to be sick right now!
The weather here has been crazy (what’s new) from rainy & cool to heat advisory the last 2 days! Right now at 9:30 it is 90 degrees with a heat index of 101…but there is a front that is almost here & is suppose to storm & drop the temps to 65 for a low tonight & then the next few days will be in the mid 80′s.
Today my mom celebrated her 77th birthday !!!!
Tomorrow, hubby & I will celebrate 15 years of marriage!!!We don’t have any big plans for the 3 day weekend. We will work on the deck & around the yard. We will play it by ear as to whether we will go out to eat tomorrow night or get something to cook here to celebrate our anniversary.
Then we will have to go fishing either Sunday or Monday between all of the work we need to do!I hope you all have a safe & happy weekend & July 4th!
