Following the tracks...
This past Saturday, hubby & I took a short road trip.
It was work related & involved a certain set of railroad tracks....
We were in search of sidings.
I never knew what a siding was before, but it is another set of tracks that you can exit from the railway to load/unload the cars. You know me...anything to get me out of the house with my camera makes me happy!
So yeah..I took pictures the whole time...
Of course, we pass tons of farms & farmland.since the set of tracks we were following ran along the Mississippi River we also got to see water!!
Not much fall color left here, but more in this part of Wisconsin than around our house.
I never grow tired of seeing barns or some of the old silos & farmhouses.
Even the debris around the train tracks proved interesting! lol.. These are all big piles of nails...
a barge carrying a big load...
I liked the colorful laundry hanging on the line next to the cute yellow house
Yeah, it doesn't take much to entertain me!
excuse the glares, reflections & dirty windshield...I am so bad about taking shots through the car window while driving!
What an interesting life I lead! lol...
We did had a fun drive though. Even threw our fishing poles in the back of the truck (my idea, of course!)
Got a few casts in at least. Also stopped at a neat little bar/diner on the Chippewa River and had a burger & a beer for lunch.
Spending time with my man & my camera makes me happy

It is so pretty there.
I appreciate seeing trees....Real Trees!!!!
That Church is just gorgeous.
Thanx for sharing ;o)
I really enjoyed your pictures! The yellow house and laundry is cool, and I got a kick out of how you can tell the red shirt is a turtleneck, and the neck hanging upside down! LOL I can't get over all those nails! I didn't even notice they were nails. It looks like tiny pieces of wood to me, like shutter slats, or something! Glad you and hubby had a fun little jaunt (even though it was work-related for him)!
