Hello all. There is definitely a feeling of fall in the air here. Yesterday was downright cold though & cloudy & dreary. Today is an absolutely gorgeous day with the exception of the wind.
It was only 42 degrees this morning! brrrr…. but it is now a sunny 63 outside.
Daughter is at work & hubby has been doing chores all day. I figured that I will do s quick post.
I have been so frustrated these last few days. This brand new computer of mine started crashing on Wednesday. Every time that I would close the lid it would crash. Then by the next day it was crashing while I would be on it. Hubby & daughter both have Dells & have never had a problem with them, so I guess I am the black sheep of the family!
It is extremely frustrating having to deal with customer service & support, both online & over the telephone. Hubby finally took control yesterday & finally got someone who seemed to know what they were doing. It took half of the day on the telephone with Dell, and my computer was stripped down. EVERYTHING was taken off of it….thank goodness that I had posted my pictures here because they are now gone fromt he computer. Evidently…there may have been a virus on here…but who really knows. All that I know right now is that everything seems to be working ok & it hasn’t crashed since we have done the “repairs” & changes. So please keep your fingers crossed for me.
We also went to the Ford dealerships around here yesterday. All two of them! lol…I have got to get a different vehicle before winter comes. I kind of hate it because I do love my car, but then again, I need to have something that handles better in the snow. We are going to get an Escape. I really don’t care what I drive as long as it is dependable.lol. There are no 2009′s available so we will have to get a 2010. They found 1 that was in transit with the options that I want but couldn’t track it down for sure, so I should find out tomorrow about it.There are a few things (ideas) that I found in my new Fall Gooseberry Patch magazine, that I want to note on here to refer back to & also thought that you may enjoy reading some…

~ share a little crock of maple butter with a friend. Blend 2 tablespoons maple syrup and a teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice into a stick of softened butter.
~ Greet visitors with a charming homespun wreath on the door. Simply tear checked fabric in golds & browns into strips & tie onto a grapevine wreath.

~Keep a ball of kitchen string right where you need it…simply drop it into a small teapot and pull out the end of the string through the spout.
~A pretty glass biscuit jar isn’t just for holding cookies or crackers…fill it with crisp bread sticks or pretzel rods to serve with soup.
~Dip the rim of a mug into melted chocolate, then quickly dip the rim in crushed peppermints. Fill with creamy cocoa and marshmallows.
~Candy cane-style napkin rings that are so simple…twist together red & white pipe cleaners and slip napkins inside.

~ A scoop of peppermint ice cream is yummy snadwiched between 2 sugar cookies…dessert in no time!
~ a toy-size little red wagon filled with seasonal flowers makes a nostalgic, farmhouse centerpiece.
~ A pillar candle surrounded by a ring of candy canes will add a cheerful look to any room. Keep the candy canes in place with a rubber band hidden by a ribbon tied in a bow.

~ For a clever gift “bag” tuck goodies inside a pair of woolly mittens.
~Create a Thanksgiving centerpiece in a snap. Hot glue ears of mini Indian corn around a terra cotta pot and set a vase of orange or yellow mums in the center.
~ Vintage Mason jars filled with old-fashioned sweets like hard candies and gumdrops make thoughtful gifts.
Cover the jar lids with a piece of fabric cut with pinking shears and tied on with a pretty ribbon.

OK guys…time to sign off….I hope you all enjoy the rest of your Sunday & have a great new week.

Oooo! The maple butter sounds good, I’ll have to try that! It’s so frustrating when something new and expensive as a computer crashes! I hope it’s all better now! Enjoy the rest of your weekend…I’m relaxing and enjoying a Classic Amber right now! : )
I’ve had my share of computer woes lately but am slowing getting things back in working order…I hope!
The Gateway computer I had was the worst one I ever had to deal with…..there was always something wrong with it…..I have had this Dell for 3 years now & not one problem..I hope I just didn’t jinx myself by saying that…LOL..
I have heard at least three complaining about new puters! Hope they have it worked out for you!
Ah… fall… My fav time of year. It’s nicer down here now but nothing like that yet! That is very frustrating about the computer. I hope it is taken care of now. Don’t blame you for looking for something snow worthy to drive. :peacebaby18: & smiles
Sorry to hear your comp was acting up, that can indeed be most frustrating. Thankfully my oldest son looks after and maintains mine. Hope you find the right kind of vehicle for yourself
