• Spring has Sprung :)

  Yes, I do believe that I can safely say that Spring has arrived up here in the Northwoods! My bulbs are finally coming up. There are buds on the trees & my lilac bushes. ALL of the snow has now melted. The temps have been wonderful, getting into the 60's. Today they say it is even going to reach 70, but it is windy like Oklahoma out there! lol...It is gusting at 25 mph right now.

  Hubby & I worked outside the weekend & I did some more yesterday. It is neverending! I actually had planned to get back out there today, but with it as windy as it is, I think I will take the day off!

  Hubby's Lasik eye surgery is scheduled for this Thursday! He underwent 2 days of testing last week and all looks good for him. Everything is completely done by the computer, so there is virtually no room for error. I went & picked up his 2 different prescriptions yesterday that he will need. One is an antibiotic drop, the other is a tearing agent drop. The grand total for them both....$322.00   Yikes!

  We finally watched the movie, The Blind Side the other night. LOVED it! What a wonderful message in it.

  The weekend before last, we took a little drive. When we were passing through this one town we spotted some kayakers getting ready to head down some "rapids", so we stopped & got out & watched & of course, I took a few pictures

  The rivers & lakes up here had been moving pretty good & were all pretty high with the ice melt. These guys were going to take advantage of it...

  It was fun to watch them.   I can't wait to start getting out & about more & getting some new photos!

   

  I have one last thing to share with you...a  blonde joke...I hope it leaves you with a smile

   

  Blonde Joke

  Two sisters, one blonde and one brunette, inherit the family ranch.
  Unfortunately, after just a few years, they are in financial trouble.
  In order to keep the bank from repossessing the ranch, they need to purchase a bull so that they can breed their own stock.

  Upon leaving, the brunette tells her sister, 'When I get there, if I decide to buy the bull, I'll contact you to drive out after me and haul it home.'

  The brunette arrives at the man's ranch, inspects the bull, and decides she wants to buy it.
  The man tells her that he will sell it for $599, no less.
  After paying him, she drives to the nearest town to send her sister a telegram to tell her the news.
  She walks into the telegraph office, and says, 'I want to send a telegram to my sister telling her that I've bought a bull for our ranch.
  I need her to hitch the trailer to our pickup truck and drive out here so we can haul it home.'

  The telegraph operator explains that he'll be glad to help her, then adds, it will cost 99 cents a word.

   Well, after paying for the bull, the brunette realizes that she'll only be able to send her sister one word.

  After a few minutes of thinking, she nods and says, 'I want you to send her the word 'comfortable.'

  The operator shakes his head. 'How is she ever going to know that you want her to hitch the trailer to your pickup truck and drive out here to haul that bull back to your ranch if you send her just the word'comfortable?'

  The brunette explains, 'My sister's blonde. The word is big.

  She'll read it very slowly.... 'com-for-da-bul.'
