After the fact...
Yeah, I know...Easter is old news now! lol...But, I promised my mom that I would show her pictures of the cupcakes that I made & of the Easter basket that I put together for daughter. It has just taken me a few days!
nothing "eggstravigent" <
...just chocolate fudge cupcakes with meadow green colored frosting...peeps chicks & malt balls...but they were cute
Yes, I still put together an Easter basket for my daughter...even though she is 21 years old & doesn't live at home anymore.
Maybe once I have grandchildren, then I will stop making her one as theirs will be more fun!
The basket is made from recycled magazines...Chinese actually...it was pretty cool.
filled with fun & useful items...flower shaped pasta, lotion from Bath & Body, flower earrings, a flower air freshener!
one of those reusable to go cups, granola bars, colored bubbles
candy & gumI really miss having little ones around on holidays. I also miss living close to family more around the holidays.
Speaking of family & little ones...this is not a great shot as had to take through the window and try to aim between the blackberry brambles to get...
mama with her twins..and these twins act like they are Siamese. They are ALWAYS close like that!
We have several shots taken of them from the game camera & they area always joined at the hip.
how sweet is that!We actually had some nice days here. I have been able to work outside for a couple of them.
Then this morning....yep, you guess it...snow! lol...but snow showers...it melted as it hit the ground if not sooner.
It is only 41 degrees out right now at 3:30 in the afternoon!
Mother Nature has been fierce here lately though. A lot of horrible tornadoes...a lot of devastation. Hate to see all of that. That's all that I've got for now...
Happy Hump Day

I really hope you guys get Spring soon..it has just been a long winter for you.
remember you can always come to Az ;o)
@Luvthewaves - the colored bubbles are evidently the new hot item this year! lol..I saw them in a magazine, then went to buy them & everyone was out of them...of course, you know me, I always start early...so I had several weeks before Easter to find them...I would check back every few days & nobody could keep them in stock...finally caught them as soon as they were put out at Walmart!
oh doreen, i love the cupcakes! i wish we lived near you so i could chomp on some! i love cupcakes as does isla. hehe she tries to say it. she finally napped so i can clean the birds' cage but i had to come see your blogs. can i ask if your address is still the chippewa falls one? i have a letter to send you... that is so cute that you make your daughter a basket. so sweet. i'll have to do that for isla later. my mom never made us some so i'll have to get tips from you. hehe i have no clue that is so cute the twin deers. do they have twins? i'm wondering. man, it's tough just having one. ok i gotta go clean the bird cage since they're getting picked up tonight we have to say bye bye since we leave on saturday.... xoxo
The cupcakes are adorable. The peeps look so cute sitting on top of the frosting. I doubt that you will stop doing a basket for your daughter...I have done baskets for my kids for years. I've just started making up bags of goodies a few years ago..the baskets were getting to be too much. I always felt like the parents take care of their kids but who takes care of the parents? I know my girls (especially always appreciated having me do something special for them) By the way I still do their Christmas stockings too! Oldest son just turned 50 and twins will be 49 Saturday. youngest is 43...somehow I don't think I'll stop anytime soon.
That reminds me of the the time I put peeps on my watergate salad for Easter. All the pictures are so....sweet. I made Easter baskets for a long time for my children. Now that they are in their 30's and have children of their own I just give them a pack of those Reece cup eggs they like so well . But I do fill little pastel gift bags with little things for the granddarlings.
@angelahappydot - I wish I could share these cupcakes with you too! lol..yes, my address is still the Chippewa Falls one. Safe travels to you my friend.
