Silly squirrels
Living out in the country and up in the Northwoods has its entertaining moments.
Of course, I am easily amused also
Last year I saw the first albino squirrel on our property. Only that one time & then he moved out & on.
Well, we had another come to visit. The other squirrels (black, gray & red) do not like this intruder. But the albino can hold his own.
It was so much fun watching them try to chase each other off of the feeders & up and down the trees...
he's got that stretch down! lol..look at those back claws hanging on for dear life!
The weather the last couple of days has been just beautiful! I have gotten a lot of work done outside. My old body is aching from it! lol...
I saw the first hummingbird of the season today. It was at the feeder. Then as I was on my way to tell hubby, I saw 2 more flying by the house!
Now if the Orioles will just come. I have their oranges out for them.Daughter has to work the mid shift tomorrow, so this will be the first Mother's Day that I won't get to see her. At least she is close by though, for that I am grateful. We are celebrating Mother's Day on Monday evening as Monday is also hubby's birthday, so that will be fun.
I want to wish all of you moms out there a happy Mother's Day. I also saw this on one of my friends facebook status and loved it, so I stole it from her to put on here...
This is a hard time for a lot of you who have lost their mama! I pray that you find strength in the kind words of friends and family. You focus on the life LIVED not the life LOST...You are all in my thoughts!
I am very lucky to still have my mom. Not so lucky though to have her nearby. But I can call her or email her any time that I want to, so for that I count my blessings.Love to you all.

I get a kick out of watching squirrels, too. lol! Hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day, despite not being able to spend it with your daughter. Son's in Fl, but I'm sure he'll call, and Daughter won't be able to make it either. I'm thinking about taking a drive to the lakeshore to take some photos. Hugs!
Watching squirrels can be very entertaining....I've seen one albino squirrel while visiting family in Ohio. They are very unusual. I hope you have a good day tomorrow and enjoy your celebration on Monday.
We will be celebrating Mom's day, daughter in laws birthday and son and daughter in laws wedding anniversary tomorrow at one of our favorite restaurants (we never run out of occasions to celebrate)..
Cool shots of the squirrels wish we had animals like that. Zany, mother's day is your day
We had an albino skunk but I never saw an albino squirrel before. That is interesting.
Cute! I love squirrels and even have a squirrel stuffed animal that my boyfriend and I pretend is a real "person".
But FYI, that's a white squirrel, not an albino one. An albino squirrel would have red eyes.
oh my ... his little claws were gripping for life!! i've not seen a White (seeing methodelevated's comment) long-tailed rodent (as I call them) ... my dawg keeps ours running from tree to tree!! our first hummers arrived ... i hurried to get the feeder out!! my nayborz get the orioles!
